The Problem

The Challenge

During high-stakes football matches, user traffic can spike by 10,000% within seconds of a goal being scored. The existing architecture could not handle the concurrent socket connections required to broadcast these updates, leading to delayed notifications and dropped live streams, which frustrated the user base.

Our Approach

The Solution

We engineered a highly decoupled microservices architecture utilizing AWS for scalable video streaming and Vercel for edge API resolution. By leveraging Supabase for real-time database subscriptions and implementing an aggressive local caching strategy in React Native, we reduced server load by 80% while achieving sub-second latency for match updates.
